  • Hec's Dog Walks #1

Not posting much these days I thought that I should correct that. Therefore I propose to post images from my daily dog walks, usually along the beach, when I usually carry my camera. It won't be every day but hopefully not too infrequent and will certainly include some of the different styles I'm experimenting with at the moment.

The first is a fairly conventional image from April shot into the sun on a misty morning at half tide. It's a five shot HDR using the excellent multi exposure bracket on the EM1 which can create a huge DR file if you use the photo merge option in Lightroom

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

What an amazing image - I love it. As has been said, the atmosphere is great.

The only thing I'd comment about is the slightly odd colour effects in the clouds - looks slightly false in the way the soft colours progress in towards the centre of the image, but obviously it's entirely possible that it's exactly what it was like at the time.

Looking forward to seeing more of these!
            Regards,
            Mark

              Re: Hec's Dog Walks #1

Thanks for all the comments folks.

The rather unreal look is intentional. As with many mono images it's more about tone, texture, shape and mood than intending to be a completely realistic representation.

I'll dog some dog shots for those expecting them

              cheers all
