This is a ford with several feet of rubble on top, there are a couple of illusions here. One is that it looks like the rubble is behind the corrugated iron construction, and why are we looking at the corrugations almost end on at the edge of the arch, whereas they actually run straight up and down?
Is it the combination of a UWA lens and the top of the culvert being cut back horizontally in the centre?
Great shot BTW!
Andrew
Not the former as it was taken with the 60mm macro lens. I think you are correct about the cut back of the corrugated iron structure. Also I think it was taken looking down at the same angle as the cutback rather than along the axis of the culvert and this perspective has also made the culvert appear oval whilst I suspect it is actually round.

she looked at me and said "It's official. I hate your camera. It's just so amazing and perfect I want one!"
