Re: My Girls
Nice simple compositions with soft, flattering light and good choice of background. You deserve to be pleased with these.John

Re: My Girls
Hi Crimbo
I do a bit of portrait work with my wife (Cheesygrins on the site) and I tend to sit at the back with an E-1 with the 50-200 on taking of gaurd close ups whilst Sue takes the more general and formal ones, Sue uses a E-510 as she prefers the size to the E-1, before she had the 510 she used the 400. I guess I just stuck with using the E-1 as the combo works, gives nice tones and handles well (for me) I might have a rethink now although I have desires on the E-30 as I think it could be a good studio camera.
Cheers
Dave

Re: My Girls
They're very nice pictures Dave. t-up
Interesting what you say about the E-400, I'd think the 50-200 would go well with it. Have you tried it in combination with a 50mm or 100mm lens?

Re: My Girls
You have two lovely portraits there Dave.
I am interested to see that you used the 50 - 200 lens; it would not have been my first choice for a portrait, but it works very well.
What did you use as a background?
Unfortunatly we have a daughter who is very photogenic, but really doesn't like having her photo taken. Blackmail sometimes works, but it can get expensive.---------------

Re: My Girls
Thanks again for the kind comments
The background is a roll of white background paper with a couple of flashes aim at, the main light had softbox fittes and I used a gold relector that personally was a bit over strong, think I need one of the soft sun glow ones.
I use the 50-200 alot for portraits as I said earlier I tend to sit at the back of the room and catch candids with it.
I guess my ideal lens would be the 35-100 used one a couple of times and think I would get a lot of pleasure owning one.
Thanks
Dave
