  • Cuba 220 - Pay the ferryman

You can take a ferry from the righthand end of the Terminal Sierra Maestra across the Havana "port" to either Regla or Casa Blanca, which sounds a lot more exotic than it is! At Casa Blanca you can catch a train (if you can find one) or stroll up to the giant Christ Statue. Security is very tight and they have metal detectors and bag checks as the ferry was previously hijacked in an escape attempt some years ago, although they did not notice my pocket knife! The cost is 1mn about 2p.

    Terminal Sierra Maestra

    Keeping on course.

Not sure about the escape plan!

Docked at Casa Blanca, notice the bars on the bridge windows and the squid snorkeler in the foreground.

    Waiting for a train.

The two backlit 'window' photos I feel are excellent, really good.
Personally I'd have just posted them if I had that hindsight thingy.
