Thanks all for the nice comments. It had been a beautiful day without a cloud in the sky, and had I not stopped for a couple of refreshing pints on the way home from a walk I'd have missed out on these! The mist was rolling up the dale but I was able to remain above most of it. Post processing was limited to letting DxO do its optical corrections on most of them, with a small amount of "smart lighting" on the last two to lift the foreground a little. It works a bit like a grad ND filter. A small flare blob on no.3 was cloned out with Photoshop. I'd only taken the 40-150 with me at the last minute but I was glad I did!

Thanks John. What are people's views on the public footpath signpost in no.3? I'm starting to think it's distracting although I'm not keen on removing things. I guess a crop off the bottom would also fix it.
