Thanks for looking; all pictures from the Oly em1/20 mm Pana lens. Pretty had not to love the set up. Front dial for aperture and back dial for exposure comp; auto iso with a max of 1000. I can look a subject and pick very closely to where I need to stand to get the picture. The eyes have taken on a 40mm appearance also

    Hi there Ian!

I really like number 4 with the reflections, probably my favourite although I do like the layered shadows in the last one as well. Keep posting more of these,

    Cheers,

    Ralph.

thanks Ralph. My drama is I really battling to find the motivation to keep making photos.
I just don't see the point of the "recording photo" thing at times or understand why we have the need to make pictures of things we just happen to see.

We'll appreciate them when your long dead!

Vivian Maier was a Chicago nanny who left behind a vast, secret hoard of her pictures. Now she's being hailed as one of the best street US street photographers of the 20th century. By Susanna Rustin

          Hi there Ian!

I am quite lucky to be enjoying shooting landscapes at the moment - the same place can look very different from one day to the next. I'm also enjoying shooting some Macro stuff - another skill with a steep learning curve! These both keep me interested, for me the problem is finding any time to do photography with a young (and demanding) family.

I am really enjoying the series of photos you have posted recently that show every day things in a different light - a great skill and something that I hope to learn from looking on this forum and the talented photographers on here.

          Cheers,

          Ralph.

Cheers fellas. That's about the only reason i'm still using a camera; to share with anyone who wants to look. No WWW; not much point. But it is rather addictive .
As for landscapes. I'm so over this rather flat/sandy/dry (12" inch in a good year) part of the country. I have a 3-4 hour drive in any direction to see some proper rocky hills and even further see creeks and gullies with running water. It's a long way to here and long way from here.

Like the bird perch shot. It is seeing and sharing shots like this that gives us lesser mortals inspiration, do not stop.
