Yes. The double eyespot and the narrow pale band on the hind wing. (Wider and paler in Meadow Brown). (Male?).

White one.

There was no sting on your wasp (sawfly)?

No sawflies can sting. Some have a saw-like structure which is used to penetrate wood, etc. for eggs to be inserted.

Male Speckled Bush Cricket

This male was on a leaf of a flowering currant bush. The views of him were limited but I managed to bend away one leaf and pinch another off.

Olympus EM-1, Olympus 4/3 x2TC, Olympus 4/3 50mm f2, 1/20 to 1/50 second at (effective) f8, ISO 800, hand-held.

Robberfly with Prey

I'm not sure which species this is but it is not the Common Robberfly. It was on a leaf some way down in blackcurrant bush foliage, limiting my shooting angles.

Backlit Brimstone

The Butterfly Bush is a good place to find butterflies. This male Brimstone positioned itself between me and the sun. I find this species to be particularly good as a contra jour subject.
