From a trip to the local pond last Thursday, a pair of Great Crested Grebe weed offering. (Well actually dead leaves from the bottom of the pond.) E-M1X with 150-400mm, 1.25x and external MC14.
Incidentally, I found to my disappointment that I couldn't process the image in PureRAW as usual, presumably because DxO doesn't have profiles for the lens and TC combination.

DXo have upgraded and the 150-400 profile has been there for a few weeks, just upgrade and it sucks it in- well mine works OK with 150-400 + the 2.00 TC guess 1.4 will be the same.

Interesting comment on DxO. I found the bare lens processes very well in PureRAW, but when I tried with the 1.4x attached it degraded the image significantly with dreadful CA and general softness. I got MUCH better results simply processing in Lightroom. Of curse I may be doing something wrong. I'll try and find out what profiles are available on the DxO website. If that doesn't shed light then I'll try a test shot with the 2x. BTW I'm using PureRAW v1.5 which claims to be the latest version.
Update - I get the same poor output with dreadful CA when I attach the MC20.Last edited by mikero; 25 January 2022, 03:13 PM.

Redwing in leaves
Not an easy or good photo, in poor light, and little contrast between the bird and background.
