  • Cuba 94 - Official Art

There is plenty of "Official" art telling of how great the revolutionaries were / are. The people love the the revos and the government has taken ownership of them and uses it to their advantage! But the people know this too! There are others reminding of revolutionary principles, how Cuba holds the moral high ground and warning to be vigilant against attack, all makes for great colourful photos!

Che is a very popular subject!

    Keep your guard up!

    Faithful to our history.

One could conclude that these works of 'worker art' show very effectively the (flaky!) durability of Communism, don't you think? Very colourful and interesting. Remind me a bit of the graffiti wall in Praque (not sure if it's still there)

Good images of a now dying creed. Communism is definitely good for some of its adherents, but that depends on how 'equal' the others are.... Perhaps it was better than the corruption of what preceded it, and maybe also what succeeds it, perhaps not. Who knows?

Love the iconic image of Fidel, in the second photo.
