  • Tonight's sunset

Taken just before the sun appeared fully below the clouds and blew everything out. From the end of our drive looking towards Cockenzie power station and Edinburgh Castle.

    Nice!

Unusual range of colours for the end of the day.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

      Well captured.

It seems Edinburgh sunsets have been sadly lacking this year. Almost each one is marred by a dreich blanket of all encompassing low cloud which insists on sauntering across from the west of the country.

        I like it a lot !

At 1st glance it's the sort of image that you could dismiss, but on even a second or so looking yout eye ranges from place to place seeing something new in every corner

The range of colours as has already been said gives it a lot of it's punch and the location of dark and light whilst not standard in many ways gives it an extra aspect of interest

        Regards

That's an amazing sky, looks like different parts of the day are happening all at once with the blue, then the dark, then the orange.

Took this sunset this evening as I was leaving the car park - I left the vehicles in the shot after spotting the reflection.
