...to new subjects. The higher iso sensitivity of the 16mp sensor makes hand-held shots with a near-black filter very fun.

I've got it easy with a converted camera, but when you mentioned 'new subjects' I was expecting something other than the IR standard of lone trees however well executed.
IR portraits are challenging without a converted camera, but the changed light n have a dramatic effect.
Quite correct, Mike, 'twas the realization as I posted that I'd already fallen into the lone tree rut, so will look for new subjects in the next go-round.
