.... he was taking a bath.

I was supposed to go out to test my 105mm but had to swap over to the trusty 70-300 when I saw this opportunity.

A bit of a preen...


A bit off a shuffle.....


And then the fun really begins....

Hopefully these photos give a small indication why I enjoy photographing these birds. Their colours. I don't usually get the colours right but I think I haven't done too badly this time. Although I think they could have done with a slightly higher shutter speed.

This is also my first attempt at sharpening which I did after converting to jpg and compressing for posting. I haven't done any other processing although the last one will give me an opportunity to practice cloning.

As ever any comments or suggestions Will be greatly welcomed.

These are lovely Will. Ducks are a favourite with me too.
I love the pose in No1 looking back at you and I think you have captured a nice balance with the movement in the others.
I don't know which editing programme you use, but the equivalent of the "Healing Tool" can be mighty useful and fun to play around with.

Lyn, I only use the Oly software which I don't think has a healing brush. I have photo editor on my tablet which I think does. I'll have to give it a go, thanks for the pointer.
