twenty nine and a half hours from bed to bed... this is a young mans game

The Jarl marches over followed by his squad and galley

A thousand torches are lit and the press pack grab a front row seat ( thats anyone with a big camera!)

The guizers march to the burning site. This is my squad, the act involved lifeguards dancing and clothes being taken off to music... a video may appear

The Jarl looks down from his galley as the torch bearers file past

Once again you have captured the magic of an enthralling event. Looking forward to more!

Fantastic pictures.... great colours, characters and storytelling.

It looks a bit like Reading on a Saturday night.
      Allegedly...

Great set Chris, very atmospheric. I particularly like the press silhouettes and the Jarl in the flames.

A excellent set of a great event Chris. I saw some footage of this on tv a little while ago and I am amazed that it is legal in these health and safety conscious times. I am glad it is though.

                Wonderfull shots Chris, very atmospheric.

By chance I spotted your earlier post in "The Lounge" at the right moment and was able to watch some of the action on the live video feed.

                Thanks for sharing.

What a spectacle, pretty unique I guess. You captured the atmosphere nicely in those shots. No#4 is a cracker and I love the energy in No#5. Hope you didn't singe anything!

Main mistake of the day was leaving face detect on... it doesnt always pick the face in the centre of the frame...ah well back to the processing...more to go

#4 and #5 are really great images, Chris. Always wanted to see the festival, but it's a long way from here, especially in the depths of winter!
