  • Not his Mates but mine!

Enjoyed the thread entitled 'My Mates' (cycling) and thought I would post a picture of My Mates too!
Apologies in advance if it frightens anybody!

Taken at New Mills in the Peak District (just) in Torr Vale on a wet days hike to Chinley and 'The Old Hall Inn' for a really good lunch!

Looks like the cast of "Last Of The Summer Wine" waiting to meet Julia Bradbury! I Bet you guys all have a tale or two to tell over a few beers.

From those expressions I guess the Pub is pretty close, or you've all just come out

Thanks for posting this pic of your mates, they do look seriously well kitted out.

Aside from a few short walks on England's coastal track, Boscastle to Tintagel, my partner and I never did much trail walking in the UK.

Thanks John, that connection to the famous three has been made before!
Unfortunately, the 'Foggy' name was given to me!
Never met Julia, but did meet 'AW' once when he was filming the TV series in the lake district. However we have done some of the 'Julia Bradbury Walks' shown on TV.
As for the beers, we don't need them to tell the tales!

We always look happy! (well, some of us) This was actually close to the start of the walk, but we had just had a good breakfast!
            Cheers Phill.

Thanks for looking Mark, Most of us wear Paramo gear, nothing better in my opinion. Just wish it was a little cheaper, only a pensioner yer know!
I was in Boscastle last year for a week on a tour. Only managed a short coast walk though, 'er indoors' frowns when I leave her on holiday!
