  • Poppies by day

There must be millions of people with the same images here are a selection of my daytime shots. Apologies for posting so many I just couldn't decide which to leave out.

The last few being lovingly put in place.

    A shadowy close up.

    Lost in thought.

    The wave

    The end of the river

    Captive poppy.

It's a shame this will all go so quickly. Transient as it should be but I'd have liked to see it remain intact for a few weeks. Perhaps to the anniversary date of the famous no mans land football match?

A nice set Phil. Yes I was under the impression they were going to delay dismantling awhile longer to give more people chance to see it, shame they cant leave it another month or so.

Beautiful set Phill, you captured the atmosphere really well.

Thanks everyone, all in all it was a special weekend in the Capital. Despite the tube closures
Chevvy as for that close up it always surprises me how often the shots I just grab with little thought work out the best. Maybe I should just stop thinking about what I shoot

Another fine set - looked at the night shots first. #2, with the ghostly figures I think is a very powerful shot. #5 is an unusual shot and a cracker to boot.

I too thought they would have left the display a while longer. A mention to the no-man's land footy match would have indicated that even in the darkest hours, there exists hope even during the futility of war.

            Once agai, thanks for sharing.
