Just back from our day out on the Keyhaven Solent coast meet, kindly arranged by Ellie. Ten of us turned out

This is my first shot from the day - plenty more to come!

The sun struggled to get past the clouds, but we all had a good time and Ellie will be inviting people down to this location in the near future.

I have also started a members meets category on the gallery. If you have pictures from today's meet, please place a copy here:

A beautiful image Ian, I am looking forward to seeing the others. I am sorry I couldnt make it, I always feel a little envious if I cant make these events, especially when I see the results.

      Nice swan Ian

Thank you everybody for coming, it was brilliant to meet you all.

I've uploaded a few pictures from today, including what has to be the "find of the year" tucked away in some gorse.

The weather was dry, which was something, but the clouds were with us all day and so was a chilly wind. I think you can probably tell from these pictures.

I hope it's OK to add pictures to this thread.

Here's the group close to the car park

A less formal shot, taken while we were sheltering behind the sea wall - clustered round a cow pat ...

      Ian and some rust

What we found in a gorse bush!

      and

I haven't shown a full picture of the lens because it's been reported as "found" and will need to be identified by whoever might claim it. It seems to have been lost today because it was dry.

      Some more pictures later.

          Blame the wind!

Here's another swan, this one wasn't in the Solent but in the reedbeds just inland

Sorry no time for more pix from me tonight - I took a couple of hundred - but have to to go out to a friend's 50th birthday party...

            More tomorrow!

I've posted the pictures again in a separate thread, called "Solent/Keyhaven people".

Post your photos for friendly, non-critical feedback. This is the place to show pictures if you aren't yet ready for full-blooded critique, or simply want to share an interesting picture with other e-group visitors.

I don't want to mess things up by getting people's real/forum names muddled so hopefully everybody will identify themselves
