  • Portrait: Trisha - feedback welcome...

    Hi All

Wanted your views on this shot if I may please. It is required by a client of mine for a poster they are getting professionally designed and printed - all except the portrait part, which she specifically requested came from me! Nice of her eh!

I have done some PP on the image, such as some skin smoothing in LR, and a little more sharpening in CS3. Overall, I am quite pleased with it.

Anyway, here's the final edit, and would appreciate your opinions if I may, thanks.

    John

    Very good indeed.

My one observation would be the reflections of the window along with the more natural catchlights in her eyes... what happens if you clone the window reflections out? (lot of work, I know).

Overall I think its very nice,I think the eye's need a little work ie the reflection.

I have to agree that the reflections in the eyes caught my eye almost immediately and think the shot might benefit from some cloning in that area.

              Hi John,

Excellent shot of a very attractive lady, as others have said the reflection in her eyes is somewhat distracting.
I have two further small "nits"
I would have prefered more contrast between her hair and background, perhaps a slightly lighter backcloth and I dont think she needs the necklace, she has good skin in that area and the part necklace draws my eye to the bottom of the image.

              Regards

              Gavin

                I think it's a beautiful picture.

I actually like the background as it is, and thought the rest was fine too - until I read what the others have said and I now agree with them having looked more carefully.

Because this is going to be printed I think it needs that little bit of work. I don't think she needs the black necklace either, she's got a beautiful long neck. The black cord seems to split its length, and also seems to have a funny kink in it - the necklace I mean.
