Well, my first day in London afforded some sunshine, so here's a few snaps from a South Bank Walk.

Equipment? All taken with the E-P5 and 25mm f1.8, with the exception of the Eye, which was taken with the E-PM2 and 17mm f2.8. Processing? I used the JPEGs. Same process on every photos: pinch levels, clarity slider and USM.

With such an image rich location, you can spend days there.

I'm always interested to see how much difference there is in how people compose their images of such very popular scenes.

You've inspired me to re-visit the place.

Some really nice shots here, but HMS belfast stands outr as a stunning picture.

Great images.
Pity that the ugly monstrosity of the Walkie-Talkie building ever got planning permission! Your photos demonstrate vividly how inappropriate it is in both shape & location.

Firstly I am struck by the similarity between London's South Bank, and Melbourne's Southbank, even to the construction style of footbridge - I'm sure London's architects have plagiarised our design ! ! ! .

+ Love that unusual building at the left of "The City".

+ Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast, that spot conjures memories, I recall climbing those steps to the embankment.

+ And is the last shot of Hungerford Bridge, or have I got its name wrong?

+ Lovely soft muted colours in such contrast to Australian light.

I think it is Blackfriars bridge not Hungerford. I love the gherkin. Not so keen on the walky talky.

A super bunch. I especially like the viewpoint you found for the shot "Tower Bridge/City Hall", not a viewpoint I have noticed before.
