  • A Night on the Beach

Being an infrequent image poster these days I thought I'd put some images up from a very enjoyable wonder around the beach, which is 5 minutes away, during the last of this years supermoon nights. I rather lost track of the time as it was such a smashing night on the beach.

A straight forward Super moon shot. This is with the 75-300.

WW2 remains and my first play with a little light painting which I will definitely do more of as it's great fun

Some boats, including the smack Kate, sitting calm and peacful in the supermoon light.

    cheers

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

That's the great thing about photography, it takes you to places you wouldn't normally visit or gets you out at times you wouldn't normally go! You got a nice set of pictures and it must have been a wonderful experience.

Nos 2 & 3 are very effective. The light painting works very well.

      Thanks for sharing.

Number 3 is very nice with a kind pilot giving the boats a datum line for lining up! Super shot maybe clone out the lights as they tend to pull my eyes away from the main characters?

Re: A Night on the Beach

Thanks for the comments. Ironically I did take the lights out initially and then put them back in again. Shows it often pays to stick to plan A.

The moorings just there are in a dead straight line as they come out of one of the creeks into the estuary proper. If I hadn't had to get up to go to work the next morning I would have waited until the moon moved round more and I could have got a very pleasing alignment.
