  • Donnington Part 2 - EM1 shots

Finally processed a few EM1 shots from RAW. I must admit I'm struggling to see much difference in them and the previous E1 shots and they were jpeg originals. The EM1 shots definitely allow more room for cropping though.

As I'm sure you can tell I had a very enjoyable day out in the sun. Definitely going to watch how this Formula E develops.

Well, you've certainly shown that both cameras are more than capable for this type of subject, Phill.

Very kind of you to say so John. Actually I felt a bit of a fraud walking in with two cameras round my neck. Even more so when the lady at the entrance asked if I was press I had to admit I wasn't just always look this dishevelled

Very nice shots Phill, great clarity and definition.
Are all the vehicles the same chassis but painted in different livery?

Thanks Huw. I think that's correct for the first year at least. After that it's supposed to be an "open" Formula. Here's a link to the car info.

            Good stuff Phill.

I keep getting tempted by an E-1, particularly now I have it's rightful partner - the 14-54mm. It's such a beautiful bit of photographic design. The prices are so low.

Thanks John. I did enjoy shooting with the E1. I'd forgotten how nice OVFs were and the shutter sound is so different. At the prices they are going for they are a definite bargain.

Panning has given a great sense of speed to your cars, Phill - I like this set as much as your previous post.

Thanks Mark. I definitely got better at panning throughout the day.
