  • Mr Riddell - your tomb is ready

Rendered in the classic 1960's school textbook style, from a print taken in the 1930's.

Well Zuiko was recently extolling the virtues of film.

Actually from a failed shot taken with an E-3, 11-22. pp in Master and The GIMP. The 'missing' tomb from Broad Hinton St Peter ad Vincula.

Well, it's been waiting for about 450 years so far, so (unless there's a strong feeling in the Group that I ought to move things forward) I'm planning on leaving it for a while yet OTOH, the present occupant might have views on sharing

As you said, Nick, it seems always to have been a difficult monument to shoot. What's really needed is some kind of drape behind the opening.

Thanks for indulging my antiquarian interests.

No problem Andrew - anyway it gave me the excuse for a great thread title.

It was fun, though quite complex, to restore the picture to its current antiquarian state. I think the result is quite a satisfying image (an object lesson in thirds) if a bit offbeat.
