    Had my first outdoor outing with the Olympus 12-40 and very happy with my purchase.

        Kew was a good place to put the lens through it's paces. Looks like f2.8 is a large enough aperture for some very useful DOF effects. I want one!

            Yes, the f2.8 actually felt too shallow for closeup shots and i kept stopping down to F4-6.3.

            I keep remembering that i paid premium price for F1.8 and I always refuse to stop down the 75mm

              Nice set of images and that first with the bee in flight is superb, looks like a great lens so enjoy and keep sharing the results.

                No 5 is my favourite....I also particularly like No1
                It's a great lens.....mine lives on the E-M5 in preference to my primes as it's the most likely lens to satisfy any immediate opportunities.

                  Lovely shots. Great use of DOF - enough to keep the subject in focus, but not too much that the background intrudes. Thanks for posting!
