  • A fly

Taken in my garden this afternoon. I tried adjusting the flash exposure compensation in camera and it seems to have improved things for me but I will need to prove that.

As I said on your Flickr stream, when this shot popped up, the clarity & DOF are exceptional.

Excellent quality macro work Alf, I like this species as they make a great subject with much nicer colouring than the bog-standard House fly

you have spot on focus, good lighting and great DOF, one I would like to have shot

          Hi there Alf!

Another fantastic macro image - which flash combination did you use (flash / difuser)? Following in your footsteps i now have a sigma 105mm which is a fantastic lens, and I have been able to use with the ring flash I showed you a while ago, but I haven't got very far inconverting one to be TTL as yet, it is still very much fire and hope with exposure!

Keep posting the images as it gives the rest of us something to aim towards!

          Cheers,

          Ralph.

Super detail, hope you send this in for the exhibition. If you are not going to let me know and I will nominate it.
