Our family gathering in Midhurst coincided with the Goodwood festival of speed (old blokes with stupid fast cars) and cloudbursts (folks forced into charity shops by the rain buying nik naks out of embarrassment).
We retreated to the splendid Spread Eagle pub for afternoon tea* and a grumble at the world courtesy of the Daily Mail

The family do had the house and garden overflowing with guests: Fortunately they have an Outside Dunnie.
