I don't really know what this is but every couple of years it comes out in these amazing flowers. It's in a plant pot in the garden and has been there since we moved in 12 years ago. It's seems to survive with no real TLC at all.

As you have shown they make stunning subjects as you have shown (and if you are unlucky you get bright red Lily Beetles to shoot as well - before wiping them out! )

Sorry Tim, hadn't realised you were after the specific flower, looks a bit like Asiatic Cancun http://www.botanus.com/products/Canc...atic-Lily.html but as you have discovered there are probably dozens with similar colouring
