  • Coppull Gymkhana, Take 3.

    Hi All,

I visited the gymkhana again and enjoyed it very much, it gave me the opportunity to use my E620+grip and ZD 35-100mm F2 combination, hand held.

I think the results are quite good, I tried out a couple of new positions on the site, it can be hard to get a background without any distractions.

    Many Thanks,

    Thomas.

Thanks for posting these; a good variety of action shots, and the backgrounds have worked out alright.

You're getting good at this action, Thomas The background is good and free of distractions and you've caught the action very nicely. They look a little bit yellow on my monitor - but that could be because I've just recalibrated it so goodness knows what it is doing now!

        Good stuff ... John

          Hello all,

Many thanks for the nice comments, like anything once you get into it you pick up various points were you could improve and also for me improving my camera operating technique and also thinking on my feet too.

The first image does look like the pony is going for it but as the rider was about to hit the jump the pony had other ideas and slammed on the brakes, eventually the second image happened but only after 3 or 4 attempts.

Also still struggling to say whether "is it a pony or isn't it" ??

I take on-board the yellow of the jump a little bright, maybe your monitor or that the image needs to be backed off a little.
          Many Thanks,

          Thomas.
