Derbyshire Landscapes.

The first lot are of Baslow and Curbar Edges. The last few with the Monument and large stones is Birchen Edge. The monument and stones are to commemorate Nelson's Victory at Travalgar apparently. The names of his 3 ships are carved onto the 3 large stones, hence why they are known as Three Ships Stones.

All shots are with my EM10 and 14-42mm EZ. Some are 5 shot HDR's, some are just RAW PP'd in aperture.

Great set and the HDRs don't look 'overdone', what software do you use or is there an 'in-camera' trick with the E-M10? Hard to pick a favourite but I keep going back to look at 14.

@ IainMacD I used photomatix for the HDR, saved as TIFF and then PP'd in aperture.

I agree with everyone else this is a lovely sharp and clear set of images, well done. Much better than any I've shot of my local area. I must get out more! The HDRs worked well too as Iain said. I just tried to pick out a favourite and I can't decide I like too many. By the way what happened in no#5 it seems to have a bit of double exposure in places on close inspection?

Thanks very much for the comments. Thanks also for pointing that out in 5, I'd missed that. It's ghosting that sometimes happens with the software, I'll go back and fix it.

Edit: Now fixed, how's it look now?

A very nice set of images with lovely colours. The vapour trails show how much air traffic crosses our skies!

However, I am puzzled by the marks in the sky on No 4. At first I thought they looked like hang gliders or possibly parachutists, but there are surely too many of them?

Thanks. I thought that, but when I looked at 1:1 they are in fact birds.
