  • Street & water

A few B&W images from yesterday (in between the rain / wind) again the EPL5+20mm were a great small pocketable (albeit coat) kit that delivers the results.

A very nice series Ian and all well taken and processed, if I were forced to pick favourites it would be no2 and no4 with no4 just edging it.
    Regards Paul.

      Thanks Paul,

Have to agree, the Light ship is also my favourite and the derelict buildings in the background add to the image in my mind.

I'm not a mono fan but some pictures do deserve it and I think that last one could look great in sepia with a bit of fading around the edges.

Thanks OM USer, I did consider converting to Sepia but decided to keep it as it is.......still a possible edit though.

An interesting set...in No 3 the ice cream could almost be in the chaps hand. Of the street photos that is my favourite, and the last one for the docks scene...is that Gloucester?

                  Thanks Gents,

I tried hard to position myself so the ice cream looked like it was in the gents hand but space was tight!

You are right Brian, that is Gloucester Docks.

                      Thank you Iain,

It has been there for quite a while and it is open for visitors, alas a little too far out of the main docks so not too many people go to see it.

Thanks for the shots Ian. Very well put together as always, and they make me want to go back to Gloz for a little look around. The history of navigation on that part of the Severn is fascinating.

A genuinely interesting set. Those first three had me looking and wondering about the people so that has to be good.

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

                            Thanks John & Hec,

Street is fun and I like to try and shoot images that pose a question - what is happening / what are they waiting for?

Another vote for the Lightship from me Ian but also agree the last looks like it could have been taken many years ago when sail was the only form of marine transport (excluding the car next to the sail ship ).
