The real heroes are the people who mapped out the routes and installed these so called Daleks, crossing forests, mountains, gorges, deserts, farmland and swamps.
In the UK a lot of these were installed in the late 40s with the implementation of the National Grid.
David...I think they spoil a natural landscape....but not so much a farmed landscape like this. I agree Derek ...I appreciate the need for the infrastructure and all that goes with it....we wouldn't have digital photography without it.

Brian, I think it's a matter of focus. If the landscape is the subject, then power poles and pylons are obtrusive. If on the other hand the infrastructure is the subject, then we can show it to advantage and for what it is.
