  • Silhouette. Crow. Dead tree.

It was getting late, the sun had set and photo opportunities were diminishing when i saw a crow in a dead tree and wondered if a silhouette was on the cards. I crept up and shot this. I increased the black in LR and that was more or less it. Looks a bit cheesy but i like the shape of the crow as i was expecting more of a profile shot.

I quite like the b&w version. There's a couple more on Flickr. Can't decide which to post.

You cant beat a good silhouette and this is captured spot on...as said the last is better in the frame but cant decide if mono or colour are best.

Last one in colour would be my favourite. The blue definitely adds to the shot for me, and the composition in the last is ace.

I like the first one Pete. Very effective shots.

            Great shapes.

Number 1 for me, it reminds me of something out of the famous Hitchcock film "The Birds" - great capture!

Very graphic...the first one in colour for me...its already monotone....blue and black as opposed to white with black.

Excellent. The first looks like a Matisse collage from the new exhibition in London.

Spooky stuff Pete, I like the B&W version (any way you could make it more of a "soot and whitewash" style image, which may make it even stronger?)

For me the first and the third (colour) work well.
