Nice one Derek, or should that be nice pair. ;D
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Mine were on North Seymour Galapagos Islands taken about 2 years ago. A most memorable experience.

          Where were yours taken?

"Boy's will be boy's". Ever wonder why they are blue footed and a very striking blue at that? There must be a reason somewhere in the evoloution of the bird. Nice shots.

The first two were taken on North Seymour and the last one on Rabida Island. We went there in 2008, as you said a most memorable experience.

I would like to go again but would not be able to manage the walking around.

Very distinctive birds, I wonder why they got that name.......

It wasn't the "Boobies" part of the name that had me puzzled.

I am not a bird man but that first shot with the parent and chick is a lovely image.

A little research came up with this
The early British meaning of the word " Booby " is a stupid person.
Because these birds had no fear of seamen and were easy to kill for food, the name was used and stuck.

That first image is crying out to be printed and hung.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

Ah, hence the expression, "booby trap."
