    I used to commute to work in London from my local station. So when I found out that there was a special coming through just had to get some pics. The thing is I spent some quite a bit of time in the planning and it was all over in 55 secs.

        You don't get a second chance with this sort of thing do you. If you were early enough there might have been a local commuter train to practise on but none of us think of these things in the heat of the moment.

          Thanks for showing these, John. Rarely do we have such events on mainland Australia but down in Tasmania there are several well patronised historic train excursions held annually.

              I have always loved the steam trains John, brings back lot's of chidhood memories in Sussex. Great shots.
