  • A real feeling of spring

Had a great walk yesterday and ther was a real feeling of spring in the air, the sun was shining, the temperature was in the high teens the buds are starting to open. I even saw some butterflies.

I was quite impressed by how the 50-500 handled this, by no means macro standard but not bad for a huge piece of glass.

This Buzzard scared the life out of me, it was in the tall undergrowth as I walked by, it took flight literally feet away carrying his prey. By the time I had got the camera on him he was well away.

Re: A real feeling of spring

I like the rim lighting on the Robin.
It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.

Ever wondered what happens the dark when the light is switched on?

            Great set,

The Robin is my favourite - beautiful light!

Re: A real feeling of spring

Thanks all, the sun was very bright behind the Robin. I always take some seed with me now and the Robin follows me until I put it down somewhere. I'm only getting 3 species coming down to feed though, Robin first then the Blue Tits and then the Great Tits follow up.

The Tits are very skittish though and don't stay still for long!

In these you captured the essence of Spring. Nice work, Timmy.
