  • Cornish Light

We had a week booked in Cornwall in mid Feb, I was afraid that after all the bad weather Cornwall was even still going to be there
But what I found was beautiful light and an abundance of rainbows
Hope you enjoy as much as I did

By the way these were taken with my EM-1, I used the 12-60 as my walk around lens and it worked great - did take a selection of M43 as well and all lenses saw the light of day during the trip so a mixture used in these shots

    It started with Moonlight

    A walk in Falmouth

    Passing Ships (or are they?)

Maenporth Rainbows - There be GOLD on that island - now how do I get there

After the storm - a young surfer ventures out

And enjoying the magic ever changing light of St Ives

    And some St Ives Rainbows

    Thanks for looking

that's a very nice series of shots and I love the way you end them with the rainbow arch, a touch of Walt Disney there

A good selection of images reminding us of just how beautiful and rugged Cornwall can be in the appropriate light.

                  Thanks for the comments
yes very lucky overall with the weather, only got wet once and then I was taking a chance

the light was ever changing but the rainbows appeared to last a while
believe it or not the rainbow hitting the island was from the holiday home balcony

                  cheers

I enjoyed this set too. Some lovely memories captured here and the rainbows are special.
My favourite - the lighthouse and rainbow. Makes me feel I was there.

Superb, I particularly like no. 1 and the rainbow shots. Ships anchored and not underway!
