  • Spur of the moment shot from me!

    Hey All

Now, before you look down this thread and frown, I must say I know I have a LOT to learn about Macro photography. However, my mate came around this afternoon to take some shots from my conservatory of the birds at the feeding station in my garden. So, I was looking at other things to photograph - as he was in my chair

So, I looked around the room and spotted this little fella on the glass doors. So, I quickly donned the Oly 35mm Macro and snapped this shot. I admit that it has been significantly processed and cropped, and it is a poor shot, but by 'eck... I can see why this Macro stuff can be totally addictive. Must take that lens with me on my birding expeditions from now on

Methinks if it had been me, I wouldn't have reached for my camera - it would be a rolled-up newspaper!
    Good detail in the wings.

I really do think the clarity of those wings is very good.

Have you looked at this software? Helicon focus I know it wouldn't work with this particular image, but it seems to get some great results using stacked images.
