Some of Heathers shots (my 10yr old daugher) from Cardiff meet up

Here's a few shots Heather asked me to post for her, I have posted them on another site but I know Heather wants to sign up here too and learn all about Oly stuff. All I did was to export these images from Lightroom, resize them, upload them, and put a border around them. Other than that, they are her pics!

1 - reflection of a leaf in water: I personally loved this one and I believe she shows a superb eye for light.


2 - A swan - not a crop, she got in close and personal


I am away now until the end of the week but will post some more later in the week... and I must get her to sign up here too.

Tell her I think the leaves are just great - good eye for an interesting image.

Nice image of the swan - always a difficult bird with all that white plumage.

Heather, you have definately got the "eye". Both images are excellent but the leaf is a great capture. Well done!

The first picture, in particular is very good. One worth printing large

Heather shows good instincts in getting close to the subject with the swan shot, but although photographed so frequentlt, the are very hard to get right and here the highlights are blown. But Heather shows all the signs of being able to deal with that in future!

Well done in deed!

You are very brave, Heather - Swans can turn nasty! Do be careful next time

I've just made Heather laugh as I told her that when she was at the waters edge taking the shots, myself a and a few others were several feet away pointing our lenses at her just waiting for the swan to start to play up and for Heather to run a mile! We wanted to catch that on some pics but the swan must have been a peaceful swan
