  • Morpeth river scene

Judging by the shots being posted, there's a lot of beautiful light around the country at the moment. It was nice in Morpeth this afternoon so I had a wander around some nearby woodland by the river. This was with the 45mm on the antiquated E-M5 Not so sharp, as there was a bit of a breeze blowing the leaves around.

It's amazing how far one can get out into the R. Wansbeck with just boots on, and still keep your feet dry.

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

worth the wade John - great perspective

you make a good point re the consideration of shutter speeds leaves and breezes; we all consider the shutter speed when shooting moving objects, but it's easy to forget about inherent movement within landscapes. the good news is that it can add options though....

            Thanks all.

I could have upped the ISO, but I try and avoid that so I don't lose detail in these kinds of shots. Probably overdone here. I guess getting a trade-off like this right is one of the skills.

Bet the river isn't always so tranquil. Nice shot with a modern classic. (Is that better, Pete?)
