    Re: Millennium Bridge

Great looking image Anne well done. I'd not thought of that before it's an interesting technique to effectively get rid of people. I'm not sure what you are referring to by ghosts, I can't see any remnant people? Mind you I wouldn't know what it's supposed to look like.

      Really interesting shot Anne

It almosts looks like two shots stitched horizontally with the modern bridge against the stone buildings in the background. I also like the ghosting at the vanishing point of the bridge

      Great stuff

            Anne,

I bet your pleased with this it was a enjoyable afternoon. Even with the funny looks we kept getting and not forgetting other photographers who were totally puzzled as to what we were doing and trying to look through my view finder.

I will post one of mine from the side when I get to it,hopefully tomorrow. After being at work longer than I hoped last night till 2-30 this morning and then driving back up to Derbyshire mid morning happy to rest tonight, some sleep to catchup with.

So again thanks for the company, will keep in touch on my work travel to the capital, to top it off the shopping centre near St Paul's will be on my list in the future. Like you said just need the right sunset for the view.

            See you soon I hope

Anne, there is a technical term for this - "b****y difficult!"

In fact, you have done an excellent job. You would need to be very fortunate to avoid the ghosting completely. The alternative would be to use a slightly shorter shutter speed to render the ghosting more prominent and make an artistic feature of it. However, I like this one just as it is and I love the blue tones.

Very well done, another technique is to take multiple images at normal exposure settings and stack the images in Photoshop and erase the people out, never tried it myself but have seen it done sucessfully
