    Dear Paul,

What a great result, this picture sums up why I love B&W images. What great sense of mood a tension it gives, excellent.

    Cheers

Wehey Paul... very dark and moody and a superb B&W shot indeed. Maybe just a tad dark on the underside of the plane, but superb shot nonetheless.

Very nice Paul, love the mono look, I understand why the lower half is darker, I don't see it as a problem, I think it helps to create the moody atmosphere

Yes. Good shot. In my book, black is always good

Look, I'm an old man. I shouldn't be expected to put up with this.

                Re: Lockheed SP-2H Neptune

Hmmm... why do I get the impression I am being picked on here...

I don't think the underside of the plane being black is a problem per sé, just that I feel it could be a tad lighter as I am unable to make out any detail from that part of the pic. It's only a matter of personal opinion after all - that's all...!

                The image is super regardless.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys.

Musicman no problem, as to the dark underside thats deliberate, partly for mood but more impotantly to hide the boundry tape and signs!
                  Regards Paul.

Well done Paul. This image is quite exceptional. You have certainly achieved your aims with the clever use of B/W and shadows. I can easily imagine an anxious air crew running to board the plane for another sorte. Colour would not have worked.
