  • Black-headed Gull

    Gulls, often overlooked, will at times be great and cooperative motifs when the conditions are right. Here I set up the scope, evening sun in the back, coarse focused on the anticipated trajectory of a flock of Black-header Gulls (resting on the shore at some 50 meters distance) and waited just a few seconds until they took off - they always do.

    TS102 F/6.8 scope

    Fantastic shots, especially the second one. They are much more elegant than the seagulls we have around here.

          Some of the Black-headed Gulls in the photo could spend the winter in the UK. I don't know how you tell the elegant Swedish ones from the unruly British ones though.
          It's the image that's important, not the tools used to make it.
