  • Heavy seas

I've been a bit quiet on here lately - I'm still mostly shooting film at the moment. In fact, I bought 3 film cameras last week: a Hasselblad 501C to go along with my 500C/M, a Fuji GA645zi and a 35mm Russian rangefinder - a Zorky 4K. The latter takes Leica screw thread M39 lenses and I've ordered a m43 adapter so that should be interesting.

Digital wise I'm still soldiering on with my E-M5. At the moment I don't see any need to upgrade to the E-M1.

Anyway, on to some photos. Over the last couple of days there has been a combination of high tides and heavy seas and I took these at Porthcawl, near Bridgend, on Wednesday and Thursday.

                  Re: Heavy seas

Great series but I like everything about shot no 2 - the composition of the shot is excellent as is the light and the contrast between the foam on the sea/the distant wave and the deep colour of the sea wall - even the tones of the sky add to the overall picture!

                  Regards,

I love the power of an angry sea, even though it can be destructive and dangerous. This is a great set, which captures some of that power. Thanks for posting, Roger.
