  • Kenya Big Cats

Earlier this month I spent some time in The Masai Mara and Olare Motorogi conservancy in Kenya and took over 3000 photos. Here are a few of my favourite big cats:

Cheetah (after a baby Impala snack!)

    Leopard

    Serval

    Another Cheetah

    Classic Leopard up a tree

    Lion

Taken with a mixture of E5/50-200mm/EC14 and EM5/75-300mm or 75mm

Some good captures here even a little scary too as some appear to be quite close.

Bootiful, really, really bootiful. Spent some time in Kenya - 10 days - in the 60's when the planes engines developed a fault. Unfortunately, we never got off the airport. Seeing these, only confirms what we thought we missed. As my bucket list is already overflowing... I guess I'm needing a larger bucket.

Wow, what a fantastic experience that must have been. I look forward to seeing more. Any vultures on carcasses? Love the Cheetah shot.
              Thanks

Fantastic shots, must've been a grest trip. I absolutely love that second mega-bright cheetah shot.

I've worked hard to be this grumpy. It hasn't been easy at times but it's worth it.

                    Re: Kenya Big Cats

Lovely set. I've been on a few game drives, but have yet to go on a proper safari (of the type that requires proper photography equipment).

Lucky you Martin - I can understand why you took so many photos, there must have been opportunities everywhere!
They are all lovely, such beautiful animals, but I especially like 2 and 4.
                      More please.
