  • Bee holiday shot

    Folks,

Despite the wind I managed to capture a bee and grasshopper this bank holiday. Yes, I know everyone is moving on to furry things but I was latte with feathery things and now I'm late with six-legged things, although the bee is furry...

Little bit fuzzy round the hairy bits, maybe, could that be the focal length? Comments welcome.

    Kit used: E3, Sigma 105, EC-14, (free) FL-50R, remote, tripod, F32, ISO 100

    Bodies: E3, E-P1
    Lenses: 8mm, 14-42mm, 12-60mm, 50-200mm

They're really nice, especially the grasshopper which is great.

And you did it with the Sigma 105, a lens that drives me nuts. I can not get comfortabl with. Maybe too much experience with the two Zuiko macros (the 50 and the 35).

Really great shots Nick. The detail is superb.
Don't worry about being out of step or in fashion - I always am out of step. We take photos for ourselves and if others appreciate them - great.

The weather here in Portsmouth has been really lousy. A second day where the cloud cover was complete all day and so the lighting conditions were poor. perhaps I should have gone out on a Macro shoot myself

      Cheers

        Thanks for the feedback.

You're right, Steve. The 105 takes some getting used to after the Zuiko ones, I'm not 100% happy with it because of the handling.
