A lot of these small yellow Cranefly around at the moment but I can't help with ID. The Damsel is I think an immature "Blue" form female Common Bluet it will turn blue as it matures as opposed to normal female which stay yellowish colour. The markings on the abdomen are different in the two forms.

    The fly maybe a Greenbottle.

      Nice shots

      Tiger Cranefly - Nephrotoma flavescens

Very difficult to ID the Damsel as Segment one of the abdomen is covered.

      Greenbottle
      Thanks
