  • Before and After

So it's midday hot bright and sunny and my son is playing in the garden with my grandkids and I'm taking snaps for the family album even if they are bright and contrasty and do have the dreaded panda eye syndrome.

And no I'm not going to share those with you.

But I wanted to take a portrait of him with the two girls so what to do...well I cheated and put them in the shade of the house by the wall and took it their then took a pic of the bright blue sunny sky they had just been playing under and combined them.

A fun exercise to do in Photoshop and I don't think it turned out to bad.

Good job, never used photoshop for this, perfect mask works well and is not technically demanding and is my choice

              That's really excellent, Paul!

Are you going to tell us how you did it, I'm sure many of us would like to know?

Excellent work Paul, illustrates how to turn an ordinary photo into a fantastic one. I expect the family were highly delighted.

Thank you Jim, basicly just cut and paste using a masking layer.

Thank you Tom and yes they were, now they are expecting a print off Dad/Granddad!
