  • Flower Fascination (none FT pic)

I do not usually post none FT images here so I hope you do not mind me sharing this one which is a particular favourite of mine.

This is Maddy my eight year old autistic Granddaughter who has a fascination for flowers and will spend hours in Granddads garden looking at them (and picking them) rather than play with toys bless her.

    Regards Paul.
One day I hope to be the person my dogs think I am.

Wonderful photo, a memorable moment brilliantly captured.

I have 5 year old twin grandchildren a boy and girl, she is as bright as a button, the little lad is on the Autism spectrum and when they come to see grandad likewise he will spend hours in the garden looking at insects and flowers, often saying "Hello Bugs, where are you". He got stung on the hand by a bee recently as he picked it off the lavender bush, but it still didn't deter him from looking again. His sister on the other hand runs a mile as soon as she sees a bee etc.

Thank you Tom and love that story, and it's nice to know there is someone else that appreciates the joy they can bring.

Paul, a very nice image Maddy probably likes the continuous petal pattern - there is no beginning and no end

Does she have a "Spirograph" ? This is often loved = especially the old 1980's ones

That is a great capture in all respects Paul. There is even a reflection of colour in Maddy's glasses

I think Ed chose the right adjective; "Magical."

All cameras are pretty much the same, they have a window that decides how much light is let in and a door that determines for how long. Photographers, on the other had, are all uniquely different.
