I got back home yesterday from a week's holiday on the Isle of Mull. After crossing back onto the mainland I decided to take a longer but stunning route home again, with a short diversion to one of the most beautiful places on planet Earth, and just for a change the weather was with me. I'm posting these to make you lot drool with envy (yes the water really is that colour!
) and although some of you may know where it is, for those who don't I am prepared for a consideration to disclose the location.
But a word of caution if you do undertake a pilgrimage - my camera nearly wouldn't let me leave. It refused to stop clicking, pulling me this way and that up and down the beach, dragging its heels and throwing a tantrum each time I tried to take it back to the car. I had a vision of my bleached skeleton being found many months from now, half buried in the pure white sand and still clutching an E5 with a full memory card and an empty battery...
Here's why:

It was a particularly busy day for this beach - I counted four other people. And a dog.
