  • Mallard Moments

I tend to take Mallards for granted but I find it hard to resist photographing their delightful ducklings. This splendid little family was crossing the path at Strumpshaw in the dappled afternoon sunlight. Later on a female and her three offspring were supping loudly on the weed on the surface of a pool. The late, low sunshine was producing some very strange effects on the plant life on the surface of the water.

Lovely to see the ducklings finding their way.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

I know I've said this before Ron, but I just can't resist ducks.
I would have had to take the family shot too, and the second is really unusual.
      Good stuff.
