The 4th and final set in our little river trip from Melbourne CBD to Williamstown, across the bay.

The Williamstown Wharf area. Being on the bay, messing around in boats is a favourite pastime of Melbournians.


The wharf area is a popular place for cafes. I included this one as I know you Poms love your fish and chips!


Williamstown is an attractive mixture of old and new - this is one of the "heritage" ferries preparing to leave to go back across the bay to Melbourne.


And finally - leaving Williamstown ourselves. I hope you enjoyed the visit.

An interestng set Lyn. The Marina with boat on the slips is my pic.
Does the ferry wait and you return on it after a time, or do you return to Southbank on a later cruise?

Hi Mark, the ferries run every hour, so you can please yourself how much time you spend. Not a lot to see, but lunch and a stroll around is fine.
I didn't get any street shots as there were a whole lot of bikies there on a run and the thought of pointing a camera in their general direction was a bit intimidating.
