  • Red-necked Grebe

A small pond in central town is hosting a couple of Red-necked Grebes. Visibility is limited due to weed surrounding the pond but from some angles you get reasonably free sight, but you need to be alert to seize the opportunities.

I managed to get a full frame picture of Mr or Mrs GNB.

    E620 @400 ISO, Skywatcher 600mm
I believe this is pretty sharp, rivaling the high-grade lenses.

    Thanks for looking

Lovely shot, great feather detail, that is a very good set up, Tord.
The picture tells the story, great when you have a bad memory.DW.

The detail on that is absolutely stunning. The feather detail is fantastic as are the water droplets on its back.
      Thanks
